I know I am a horrible writer, and I can't rant nearly as well as most of you fellas... but I'll give it a shot! Last night, me and a buddy were enjoying a friday night, fishing some live pin perch in the canals on Padre Island. Specifically, past the Padre Island Yacht Club, right next to the No Wake Zone sign. And this was after most of the normal sunset rush was over. We noticed this mega boat called "Tenacious" violating the no wake zone on the way in, as well as the on way out...... As we were sitting next to the sign, they spotlight us. So they knew we were there right? Plus we also had the mandatory lights above our kayaks for such cases. These people were going at least 20 by the end of the no wake zone and nearly running over our bait. I want to restrain from name calling in case they somehow are blind, but I think it is safe to say they are some low lifes.

Anyways, I won't pout about how it ruined my reels and day, but thought you guys on this forum might find this interesting. I am certainly able to laugh about it now.

I've lived a long time and life has taught me a lot of lessons and the truth of it is, while there are some really decent people in the world, there are a lot of fargin $$$holios too.

And for some strange reason, way more often than not, the more money someone has, the bigger the fargin ****(( they become.

Someone should find that guy's boat and do a little night-op and stash a bag full of shrimp in the bilge where that fargin ****(( can't get it.

I would assume the boat is coming around the septic plant area? If it is, its not hard to figure out where the boat is from. Is that correct or did it come down the main channel?

You're in a very good state of mind & fortunatly state of body. This kind of negligence is what leads to boating "accidents". Glad you're ok. Very well written.

You need to take the video to the coast guard, local police, etc.. and file complaints with all them. That jackwagon is not going to stop until they go after his a$$. Seems typical these days, these people with the fancy boats etc.. seem to think they are better than everyone else and the rules apply to them.

That would be a mistake for sure. Confront him and what, make a threat? We have law enforcement officials for stuff like this, use it. They broke a law.

I would suggest a few small holes in the hull that mysteriously appear about 1" in diameter just below the water line while it's tied up one night.. Imagine the surprise in their eyes the next day..

Just my opinion here, but those days are just about gone! 40-50 years ago, when a kid got suspended or even sent to the prinicipal, there was an a$$ whooping waiting on them when they got home, and then ANOTHER when dad got home..... IF they didn't have to come to school and pick you up!!! Shocked If not that bad, at LEAST a long grounding!

All that has gone out the window in this upside down society! The parents sue the school and everyone involved, and then the punks grow up believing that they are untouchable, so, whether it's how they drive their boat, their car or truck, DON'T stop their dog(s) from barking all day and night, or whatever; trying to talk to them about it will only get you the middle finger or worse, and quite possible shot! Shocked Call the law and hope that they take care of it and keep yourself safe! Wink

I am hearing that the CCPD will soon have a presence on the water in that area of the canals. Hopefully the can stop jackasses like that from blowing thru the no wake zones.
