Via Capt Jeff Wolda who says: 78.1 at the pavement, 76.8 at the 30 mile mark, and 73.8 at the 55 mile mark. Dirty water to the third bar.

Can confirm, bad fishing for us this past weekend Saturday and Sunday about 13 miles down PINS. Really low tides all weekend, a bit of rough water on Saturday and weeded out on Sunday (gorgeous day though). No bait in the ater, very little activity. Not a single whiting..

A fish guide out of Port A, that I play softball with, said that brownish water from the gulf is coming in through the ship channel and messing up the fishing in the bays around Port A and Aransas Pass as well.

Does the cold water upwelling have any effect to offshore fishing close in & and perhaps a few miles out?

The water at packery yesterday looked copper colored. Looked like the amazon out there. Storms coming from the south today, maybe things will change.

It's OK, it's hot as $## anyways Laughing And because of work I am going to miss any Red Snapper boat opportunities.

The upside is I re-spooled my Squall with 50-lb Maxima Braid8, so I'll be ready for other fish...

I did a quick wade right by packery last evening. I landed two reds and lost a couple flounder. The water is brown but there are some fish to be had. I was walking on dry sand right where it was two feet deep a couuple of weeks ago and holding fish. The tide is really low.

Drove the beach from Whitecap south past Bob Hall pier......brown water the whole way.... going out past the last sandbar; didn't even try to fish. The good news is that no seaweed was washing in and the driving was great.
