Vic and Jess drove in from Colorado early Friday after settling in Saturday we decided a little fathers day fishing was in order. Nothing serious slept in had breakfast sent the girls off to have their nails done ( cause you have to have pretty nails to catch fish) got on the water well after noon . Wind was cranked up but the water was clean and green in the back yard . Live shrimp under a popping cork was the offering for the day. Trout were abundant from dinks to 20" we caught several red fish just under the 20" mark i did manage 3 mid slot red fish a 23,a 24 and a 26 one of the reds had a blank on one side. 11 box trout 3reds and 2 nice black drum before we ran out of bait . Made it back before 5 and fired up the grill for some steaks and grilled lobster tails. I couldn't ask for a better fathers day family fishing and feasting I hope all you fathers out there had an awesome fathers day also.

Well done. Those reds are gorgeous in the photos.

I moved back to CC in Jan. I have been fishing at least 20 times since, but I have yet to catch a single redfish, even though I have caught a good number of keeper trout, smacks, a big jack, and plenty of whiting. If I don't connect with a red soon, I might develop a complex. Laughing
