Sad to say that the wife beat me again. Fished just north of the packery boat ramp on the boat friday and sunday. The wife caught a 16 in fat boy flounder which falayed very nice. I caught a bunch of crap fish, including a 2 1/2 foot lady fish. On sunday i had a nice fight with a young 19 1/2 in redfish and was sad to throw it back, but he'll grow and be an awesome catch for one of yall soon. So all and all, a 3 day trip, canal rental house and 600 bucks to get the boat ready for the season and we took home one meal, if it includes fried scrimps. Still a damn good time and totally worth it! Fished of the canal all day saturday and caught a thiusand pin fish... Still fun with a good drink. Hope yall found a good spot this weekend! If yall saw a 1960 14ft lone star, that was me and my wife, everybody that saw us stared for a nice little time. One day i might have a beautiful skiff, till then i will keep trying to fish in my put put family airloom boat, the sweetest lady to have ever touched water. Blue skies my friends. And to my wife, may she never read this, you would have never caught that flounder if it wern't for the captain!

Most of us have "been there and done that", so we are glad you enjoyed it! Having a wife who enjoys fishing with you is a real plus, and will pay many dividends in the future.Very Happy

On our way out there she kept saying how the weekend wasn't about fishing. She then proceeded to mention fishing at all times after she caught our one keeper fish. I found a good one! And she cleans fish way better than me. Behold gentleman... I found the right perfect wife, this was our 3 year knowing eachother weekend too.
