Great to see it happen. Now take one and cut it in about 20-30 large pieces and submerge them about 50 yds offshore of Pins every mile or so. Then the common man gets a benefit of structure in the surf zone. _________________ Gary J

Unfortunately it would be covered by sand very quickly. _________________ Salad, Salad, everywhere and not a bite to eat. |

Yep,, it's amazing how fast big wrecks disappear. An 80' steel hull shrimper is totally gone in a couple months. |

| They hauled the Kinta all the way out to the spot but can not sink her yet due to complications with a tug. Hopefully that will be the only glitch. |

| She is at the location right now but from KIII 3 news, they can not sink her yet due to complications with the tug that hauled her out there. The update was about an hour ago. |

| Which tug pulled her out there? The only one that showed on the tracking website was that flatbottom barge they use to lay the concrete stuff (Maratha) |

The Maranatha pulled her out there. She is an old Coast Guard Buoy Tender Vessel. _________________ Steven |

The Kinta went under at about 4:00pm yesterday. She is laying upright in 75ft of water. This was a partnership with SEA(Saltwater Fisheries Enhancement Association) and Texas Parks & Wildlife.

We were maybe 20 yards from her as she slipped under the waves. It was an awesome sight. There were a few unexpected delays getting her deployed but in the end everything went really well. _________________ Steven |

| I hope that it close enough that kayaker can paddle out and fish around her. |
