I have a lease in Duval and neeless to say will be out this weekend hunting dove. (also need to test the new 300 AAC with NV on pigs) I was at Academy getting my liscense and noticed they had a map posted of the area. In the print on bottom it specified hunting during the special season was from noon to sundown. I can not find that info anywhere but it was definately on the map they had posted for this year. Any ideas? If so I might wait and drive out Sat. morning instead of camping out.

get a handbook at most places where they sell lic.
special WW is Sept 6-7/13-14 noon till sundown...
15 doves, but only 2 "TWO" mourning doves...
SO, unless there's a lot of whitewings, it's not much of a hunt w/only 2 M/doves...
on Sept20 the regular season opens... then 15 doves, ww or mw, just as long as you only stop at 15...
state-wide only 2 whitetip doves anytime, but they're usually only found in the Valley...

Thanks for the info. I did not grab a paper copy the annual since I loaded the new app on my phone. Luckily we do generally have a lot of white wings. Worst case scenario we have plenty of pigs.....

wild pig ribs over mesquite coals..
leave the backstrap on.
baste liberally w/zesty Italian salad dressing .. flip occasioanally..
serve w/cold cole slaw and bev of choice. Very Happy
