Have there been any good reports from the Bird Island area lately? Any advise will help.

Will be there tomorrow am for some work activities, but from each of my last few trips (once a month or so), it's been the "All Brown Tide, All The Time" show down around Bird Island. Crying or Very sad

I went last week. Not much happening in the area. Fished with live shrimp and live croaker and didn't have much results. I drifted the area fuly and didn't find fish until I went to the west side of the icw...

Just as I thought. Low water, lots of Brown Tide.

But the plus was a group cleaning fish at the launch. They mentioned that it got a little better along the King Ranch Shoreline (visibility-wise), but the low water made for some tough going. They did better down south (like JimSA mentioned).
