I like the Carbon Lite rods from Bass Pro and Shimano rods, It's really going to be up to you in the end. I have a rod for plastics and one for tops.

What model are you getting? I wouldn't go more than 2500 series.

TFO rod $100
Sarge Rods $250+
castaway skeleton ?

I use my Ci4 on an H&H 7' and the combo is very light weight.

I have 4 of them. Go with best rod that's comfortable for you. A heavy rod can rob the performance expectation from that real.

No sir. I really like them.

Load if up with 15# FINS wind tamer. You will be happy.

Exactly what I was thinking, what kind of rods do you have on all 4 ci4s?

1 is on Kistler LTA
2 are on TFO 6'6" ML ($99.00 and unconditional lifetime warranty)
And the other may be going on SARGE rod soon. I broke the FTU rod on it a few weeks back.

Check out the St. Croix Avids. Light as hell. We use those rods with our two stradics. They are awesome for pitching lures all day. Actually caught a big king on one of them a few weeks ago. Awesome setups

Been using a couple of Stradics for about a year now and couldn't be happier. Paired with the Tsunami Airwaves medium gets the job done for me with top water and soft plastics.
