| Water looks like glass past two mornings on the way to work. I actually had to stop and throw out the line for 15 mins today. 3 dink specks and a lady fish. Only makes me wonder how it would be in the honey holes. Might have to call in sick if the weather is like this again tomorrow. |

| I've been wondering too... have a trip planned this Saturday, and was wondering if the water is clearing up with the slack winds? |

This morning ULM is still ugly from KRS over to the hotel channel, into Nighthawk back to the Causway. I caught one keeper trout about 9 with several dinks mixed in.
I drove over to the beach between BHP and the sea wall. The water looked to be clearing. That is completly against all of the weed forecasts I have read so I am guessing it will not last. |

Boat Hole looks like brown tide. Can't see the bottom from knee deep near Dimmit. _________________ WELCOME TO FLOUR BLUFF...WHAT'S THAT SMELL? |

| Hit all my areas between Tropic Isles and 1/2 wsy to pure oil. Steve, using shrimp got 2 barely keeper trout and about 10 dinks pkus a number of hardheads and skippies. I was using lures of all types and got 1 hardhead. As reported, water is ugly. Also, no wind and couldn't drift. Where you stopped that's where you stayed. |

| Stopped again before work this morning at sun rise. Water was glass with some ripples from mullet cruising around. Threw out a spook and had some thing big come take a look at it with some short strikes but no takers switched to a subsurface didn't get a bite. Switched to soft plastics nada. Switched to a top dog jr and first cast "click-click-boom" there went the lure and my reel was singing. It was a solid fish thinking maybe a 40"+ red, kept pulling out line drag was still set from the 37" drum a couple months ago. I had to tighten it up twice then one more run and my line went limp. I reeled it in and my Fluor leader was stretched and twisted like a Christmas ribbon about 5" at the end. I was thinking it was a real big lady fish but there was no ballet.my buddy says tarpon or a Crevalle. Idk about either of those around Dimmit point. Going to try it again in the morning. Same bat place-same bat time. |

| There gave been big skippies in the laguna. Could have been one. Often the big ones stay down. |

|
|
| I made my debut on Wednesday but no bites. On Thursday I waded the flats near Packery and I didn't get any takers. Though I saw lots of Sting Rays in the water, just inches from my feet. I thought as soon as I got close enough to the channel to see the water that I was in for a stringer full, because of how clean the water looked. But again no bites. Took my buddy from San Antonio wading on Friday and he caught one Red, 25 inches and that was it. Only one fish, but it was better than no fish. My wife cleaned him up pretty. I am sort of discouraged but I've heard that no one is really doing good except those with boats that can fish further south. |

| The nearshore rigs have been good for kingfish. I even caught one on a topwater yesterday. It was a little bumpy coming back in the old Majek RFL, but we had a lot of fun. We also had some good action casting to schools of football sized bonita with Mann o Lures. |
