Looking to get a boarding ladder and a new burn bar for my boat. I went in and talked to the guys at BlueStreak a few weeks ago and they said they had a few boats they were working on but that I should bring it in to them this week and they could get it knocked out in 3 days or so. I called them this week before taking it in and now they said they are at least 2 weeks out. I told them I wanted to set an appt but they said I should just take to them and leave it in their yard until they get to it. My problem is I dont want to be without my boat for an extended amount of time especially if it is just sitting there waiting to be gotten to. I really like the work BlueStreak does and understand that they are busy for a reason but I get impatient at times especially when it comes to my boat because my time on the water is my therepy . That said does anybody have any other suggestions of some place that does good aluminum work and can get to it quicker? |

To both of you guys, I sincerely apologize. Things have been extremely hectic around the shop lately and business has blown up to proportions that we were not expecting. On top of that I have to leave town for a week to move my fiancee down here from Virginia, so we are a bit off of our game as far as scheduling goes. Blast-n-Cast, we definitely forgot that we told you to bring your boat in this week and I am very sorry, please call my cell tomorrow and I will set an appointment for you. Bigd same goes for you. Like I said we have been growing exponentially and I am desperately trying to get a system worked out to keep everyone happy. Also, if anyone drops off their boat and before we have worked on it, needs to use it, they are more than welcome to come pick it up without losing their place in line. We are even willing to come up to the shop on the weekends to open the gates for our customers. Again, please both of you call my cell tomorrow and I will personally put you both on the calendar. I bet if you call to have your motor worked on at any of the shops you are going to be told the same thing to bring your boat in and drop it off this time of the year is busy as heck. Just a bad time to try and get any work done on a boat fast any where.
And good luck getting them to open up so you can get your boat on the weekend. think about it that should tell you what kind of guys you r dealing with.
I guaranty you the wait is worth it to have blue streak do your work. Those guy r great to deal with and stand behind there work. If y'all call in the morning i bet you'll get taken care of. i know if i was y'all i would be on the phone in the AM. |

Thanks I will give you a call tomorrow. I was not trying to call you guys out, in fact I initially was not going to mention your name, but then I figured I would save the explanation since I was pretty sure that when I asked about aluminum work you guys would be the ones everyone would recommend. You seem to be the go to guys for aluminum work.

You are probably right. I am just a little impatient I guess. I installed a power pole last week and had to take off the ladder that was already on my boat. I had been wanting a different ladder anyway and rather than reinstalling it only to remove it later for a new one and have to patch holes I opted to leave it off. In the mean time getting on my boat after a wade is not as easy as it used to be. I guess I'm getting old |

Even if bluestreak was delayed, I can completely vouch that their work is worth the wait. They recently added rod holders to my rack they built last year and not only is it exactly what I wanted, it looks friggen sick. Jon is a stand up guy and they guarantee their work. I wouldn't trust anyone else in town honestly, I will be back with them eventually for future work.

Well I got my boat back today and like many had told me it would be, it was well worth the wait! I am extremely happy with the work Blue Streak did. I had a new boarding ladder and a burn bar with a small platform built. Here are a few pics

Agreed. I'm already planning on having them do a few more projects on my boat. |
