Spent 3 out of the last 5 days (don't fish Sat-Sun) going to school on the packery north jetty. Caught a mess of trout all three days under different conditions as I learned where fish were and what they were feeding on. Lot's of big trout, and never saw a ding either day. Fillets were excellant also, very clear meat with no worms. Started out with my normal lemon rig with shrimp but no takers. Had to shorten the lines to half because of the water dept and use pin perch and mullet. Also caught fish on Carolina rigs... These trout only wanted live fish 4-8 inches. Caught a 26 incher on a very large pin perch at 8:30am this morning... I will say that I fished hard and changed tactics often to continue to catch fish on both sides of the rocks... Boat traffic would drive the fish down so it was time to change to a carolina... Also when the wind changed to the north the water really cleared and some one at the end reported 3 Tarpin rolling. Summer is gona' be Fun Boy's... Cool (Finally got pic posted)

Thanks for the detailed report. Guess all the fish are down at the Packery Jetties because there is NOTHING going on at BHP in the daytime. Going to have to get my lazy butt down to the jetties and learn how to fish there.

Great report! That is what fishing is all about. Trying different techniques and finding what the fish are biting. Excellent job and looks like the work was well rewarded with some excellent fillets!

Thanks for the report!

Great detailed report and one nice trout. It sure is nice to be able to fish durning the week and away from most of the crowds.
It's been couple of years since I've been down to CC, and they were in the process of building or cutting the pass.
And being and old guy I remember when I was working at PA remodling the ole Coast Guard houses and the lighthouse, in 1957 durning my summer vaction with my grandfather. The point is I think that that pass was open to the gulf at that time. I used to have to go back and forth with supplies every other day from CC.
