This is our current go-to BBQ sauce recipe.
Pineapple BBQ Sauce
3/4 Cup Brown Sugar (packed)
1 tsp. Ancho Chili Powder
1 tsp. Black Pepper
1 tsp. Ground Allspice
1/2 tsp. Granulated garlic
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Celery Seeds
1/2 tsp. Ground Cloves
1/2 tsp. Cayenne pepper (here is your chance to control heat)
1/4 tsp. Ground mace
1/2 Cup Rice Vinegar
1/2 Cup Honey
2 Tbl. Soy Sauce
1 Bay Leaf
1 28 oz. Keg of Ketchup, Hunts high-fructose corn syrup Free
1 Tbl. Liquid Smoke
6 Tbl. Frozen Pineapple Juice Concentrate
Add everything to a saucepan and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes check for a balance between sweet and sour. If it is too sweet add a little more vinegar. If it is too sour add a little more brown sugar. Adjust heat up, if necessary and add salt to taste. |
