I got in to town around 2 pm today and was crossing the bridge when my buddy called and said he was at my dock waiting on me. I got to the house, pulled on a pair of rain pants and went fishing within 2 minutes.
This winters fishing has been a bit tough for me with the wind, weather, some mechanical issues with my boat, and my towing vehicle, etc, etc.
Today was just fantastic. We left at 2 and were back by 5. In that time we caught around 40-50 trout with around 7 keepers. We had nonstop action for 2 solid hours We also found some reds and hooked 3, boating two keepers. Everywhere we went with the water a little dirty, there were trout. They seemed to like white or bone the best. The clear water we hit for the last 30 minutes had the reds. We would have fished longer but we both had things we needed to attend to. Best 3 hour fishing trip I have had in years.
Spring is finally here and I for one and really glad it is. Goodbye winter of 2013!! |

| Good catch. Unfortunately it looks like clouds and rain the next few days. |
