Black Diamond Oyster Bar, closing. Think they have been around since 1968, whatever it is it's been a long time. They have been bought out by a car dealership.
Last day is this Sunday. Bloody Mary's are the drink special.
Gonna miss that place. |

| Wow I remember it when it was THE place you had to go in Corpus Christi for seafood. We came to Port A in 1973 and visited it when it was where the Bair's Den is on Gollihar. |

| As a kid we went to the one on Golihar all the time. I remember the walls covered in business cards. |

First the 'old' one and now the 'new' one too??? Man, I'm getting old.
Many moons ago I lived in the apartments (Sky Harbor) right next to it, and my balcony literally overlooked the back of that place. Spend more than a few nights chowing down there.
C'est la vie. |

I'm just hoping they have an obnoxious "no credit, no problem" billboard about 300 feet in the air. |

Congrats on their success thru the years. They fought the good fight. Yummy. To run a successful restaurant for that many years...wow. They no doubt have an offer on the table they cannot refuse. At least I hope. _________________
