I believe that when you find the right person that you know it and should hold on and never let go. I know I found that person and made her my wife almost 4 years ago. There are a few occasions when you find out that you just may be the luckiest person on the face of this planet. This happened a week ago to me....

No last minute shopping for Valentine's cards, no high credit card bills for fancy dinners, no flowers required. This year it was her idea to skip the commercialized V-day gifts and hit the sand for a camping trip. She had the truck loaded when I got off Friday at 5 and we were on the sand by 6:30. We found a nice spot at the 12mm of our beloved P.I.N.S. and set up camp.

We were lacking in the blanket department so it was a pretty chilly night but we woke up to a nice sunrise and had baits in the water by about 7am. It was pretty slow all morning and until about 1pm we only had a few whiting to show for out efforts. But it was a beautiful day....

Then it was like someone turned on a switch. I kicked it off with a 30.5" red.

Within a few more minutes we bang out a few good size whiting in the 14-16 inch range. Then something with a little more tug on the line and my wife gets a 24 inch black drum.

A few more whiting and she gets a 28.5" red.

The whiting kept hitting till we filled the ice chest. We were off the sand by 5.

This may have been the best V-day we have had together and I would like to make this a tradition. I truly am a very lucky man!

Way to go Guy! You are one lucky man! Several of us fisherman can only keep wishin for a wife that loves to fish as much as us. Congrats and TFTR.

Hang on to her like grim death brother. You are a lucky man as am I but never take her for granted and show her you appreciate her interest in what you like.

You guys are very kind! I do let her know how lucky I feel and she always tells me that she's the lucky one.... I honestly have no idea what she's taking about but I like it. We are already looking forward to our next trip. It's great to have your best friend/wife/fishing buddy all be the same person Very Happy
