First day of class, no work out close so the gym is out of the question. Next class isn't til 530pm, haven't heard much about fishing the bank in between the the college and north gate of base but I wish I could give it a shot today lol. Anybody have any experience this side of CC Bay?

Haven't fished that part of the Oso before but in three hours you could get you some good time on the water, especially since you're so close. Drum should start running soon so keeping a rod handy might land you a big ugly. _________________ Fishing is my addiction |

I'll have to make it a habit every now and then to keep a cooler with ice and shrimp on hand, lol.

fiance hasnt gone lately but thats his go to spot in town for drum, well was. he hasnt had much luck there this month though. but he had been limiting out every time he went in nov/dec. and guys he had talked to said good things about morning fishing there also
and fishbites work great , plus no stinky after smell. just carry a cooler and you can always grab ice from the stripes
so in all its a good spot if the water is cooperating, which so far in january it hasnt been _________________

I'm fairly new to fishing any salt water so with that said I have shrimp fish bites, wasn't sure if that would be good for drum off the bottom.

Oh and +1 on the Winter waters being rough on the catch. Been fishing (from shore) fairly hard for a month or so and I've caught one 27.5 inch red, a large black drum that smiled at me and ran with my line til it snapped on a log, one 12 inch whiting, and all the hard heads I could ever dream of, lol.

you could even pair a shrimp bite with a crab bite also and grab drum.
