Just heard the news, the nzture concervancy is planning to purchase the beach from klebergcounty line to pins and convey the land to the park service. Details.are sketchy, but sounds all bad to me. Keep tuned into this or we'll havethe feds ruling from bob hall south.

If we won't take cars off a 200 yard stretch of beach for a billion dollar resort how is this going to happen?

Apparently federal law (National parks) supercedes the Texas Open Beaches Act.

There is nothing good about this. We're losing more of OUR beach.

Jerry Patterson is the Texas GLO Commissioner.

I just got off the phone with Ester (very nice lady) at Jerry Patterson's office. She said he wasn't available to talk about it.

She directed me to Jim Suydam. He is in the Office of Communications or Press Office.

Jerry Patterson's office number is 512-463-5256.

Jim Suydam's office number is 512-463-2716.

Jim doesn't come in to work until I think 8:30am.

Please take a moment to call these folks and let them know we aren't ok with this deal.

Ester said they have been getting some emails from people about it, but I don't think our voice is loud enough... yet.

Thanks!

When and where? I will limp over there to give you guys support. We need to have a show of force. It is ridiculous that they would try and shove that down our throat. Like somebody said earlier "It's our beach too."
