Last week Monday & Tuesday anglers were catching limits of reds near Clems Marina. But on Wednesday the reds were gone! Has anyone found another place they are running now?

Well, dern it. I fished packery channel this morning from about 8-9:30....caught nothing but skipjacks. Tried several other places throughout the day and finally caught a 27 inch red on a gold spoon in south NightHawk.
I couldn't give away a live finger mullet today. We did get several 14 inch trout that were released to grow up. A nice day to be on the water, but couldn't find the fish.

Hey fishinglady, my buddy John reported the same thing from Packery today. Skipjacks were real thick, even being cannibals on cut hunks of skipjack. He caught a nice red, but the jack crevalle and skippies were apparently so thick that the reds couldn't get to the bait.

They will be running until Jan pretty much.

I heard they were in the packery last week . I tried Thursday, Friday afternoon and Saturday morning the place was packed in the park, at the bridge, and the begining of the north jetti. water was clear and bait was everywhere. I didn't get a bite, used all my lures, gulp, fish bites and live mullet and I didn't see anyone else catch either. Went again Sunday afternoon water was coffee and bait was hard to find. Park and bridge was still packed so we ended up at north jetti again finally found the reds halfway down on the surf side.. Only 2 other fishermen were there. So many reds and a lot were oversized. My kids had a blast TPWD fish survey were there and they checked our fish and asked how we rated our trip.. My kids yelled out "10 we rate it a 10.. Fish are still out there jus gotta find em

I hit up South Pack this morning from about 7 to 9:30. Caught a slot red on the surf side by 7:30 and saw several caught from the channel side. Lots of mullet and the water looked good. Right before I left I also caught a small smack.
