Well guys, I thought I would never see this in my lifetime.....

The parking lot construction has begun at Clem's. The boat ramp will be down awhile so you can't launch but the bait stand is still open.

Very Happy Very Happy

Hopefully they do a better job than they do on the city streets.

They were tearing it up Friday when I went by. This may be just what I needed to make the switch away from Marker 37. Of all they did at 37 last couple years parking lot was not on the list but their craters aren't as bad as across the street. When they are full of water it is down right scary. I put waders on....

She might be going to rebuild the cleaning station, they are doing a lot of dock and pier work while the boat ramp approach and parking area are being worked on.
I'll ask tomorrow and see what she says but I'll bet you over heard someone that didn't know what they were talking about, there is a lot of those people on the street.

It was a mad house at 6am saturday. Wish people would learn not to block the opening of the driveway where it says "dont park between the poles".

While were on the topic of boat ramps, id like to mention this:

Please load your boat with your gear, ice, food, etc... before you back up to the water-line away from the ramp. Basically, be ready to drop in when you back up. It holds up other people from launching or landing. Especially on a busy day.

I have launched my boat a total of of 5 times and getting better at it. Initially I was as nervous as heck......what really cuts down on the worries is having everything packed and in order before I leave the house....get to the parking lot...buy bait...unhook proper straps....get in line, back it up, crank it up...always good to have second fishing partner(parks the truck)....and we're out!!!
