finally starting to look better, here.
seeing more and more birds every evening when I get thru there.

what a difference a few days can make...
have seen HUGE swarms of birds in town that no doubt will make it to out-laying ares just in time for Sunday...
we'll be on the fringe of the big flights batting clean-up
pot and cooker are on standby...
doves an' dumplins! _________________ the creepy uncle that scares the kids.... |

recipe is back one page...
easy, too... just a stew w/doves (I use whole picked birds, but breasted works just fine).
flour tortilla strips or canned cut-up biscuits...
the canned stuff fluffs more and makes good for soppin' th' gravy.
I like to thro in some red-ripe bell peppers or surprise the boys w/a couple poblano chiles.. just a little heat
when we have a normal yr (rain) I'll mash a few chile petines an' add 'em..
last yr I did a pot of 100+birds ... _________________ the creepy uncle that scares the kids.... |
