Been hitting up the backyard at night fighting the winds...

With all the rain we had I knew we would find a few on the flats.......

My buddy robert took out the gig and made a long walk...I picked him up about a mile down from where he beached the kayak and gave him a ride back to his kayak...

He already had a limit of some big flounder and told me there were a lot more...

I started blind casting and pulled up 3 nice flounder 18-20" and fat!

They disappeared the rest of the trips out...

One thing that stayed around consistently were the reds and drum...

We've found reds on the flats busting up bait...brown lures black cat jerk bait has been the ticket..

Bottom fishing has been producing some oversized reds and slot/oversized black drum...

Trout have also shown up off and off....topwaters have done the trick especially drifting the flats...nothing of size to talk about but everything has been keeper sized ....

Several times the rain moved in on us but we made the best of it and had some stringers for dinner..

Water is dropping down and brown tide is still showing in the lower water column ....suspending baits...shiny..and topwaters....Wink

Till next time
Life is Good...
