The first in a series of Friday furloughs are upon Govt, civilians across the US. Payback for keeping our troops well supplied during the wars I guess, but no matter it's here. Looks like the forecast is calling for flat seas again this weekend and hopefully I will take advantage of them. 11 weekends of flat seas would be nice, but thats wishful thinking gone overboard. However the backyard will do just fine and I'm right there. IMS _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

| I'm with you Stan. For our hard work and dedication to our job and troops we get a day off every week unpaid of course. Coz congress wasn't hard working or dedicated to their job. Anyway I ll be out there Friday morning unless something comes up.. Heard schools of reds have been spotted in the backyard hopefully I can get into a class or two. |

| All that money spent sending that huge entourage to Africa could have gone a long ways towards keeping your bunch on the job. I'm fortunate. My agency started cutting early in the year and will need no furloughs. Next year, it will catch up to us. |

So south of JFK and west of the IC canal out to the beautiful shores of Flour Bluff? |

| I almost ran off the road right in your backyard yesterday morning. Bait was getting hammered 15 yards off the asphault and I saw a few tails a little further out. |

Wish I could get a couple of furlough days. I would have to trade Friday for Tuesday or Wednesday though. Heck I don't know what we would complain about if we didn't have such efficient caring politicians. |

Thats pretty funny. Ok here's the reel deel. The Backyard is an area that I play in on the the weekends and sometimes afterwork. As far as I know I gave this area the name "The Backyard" over time other backyards have popped up but I lay claim on the real and only Backyard. The area extends from the JFK to the PureOil channel. Or it can be split into two halves, JFK to Pita Channel or on to PureOil, from the ICW or ( The Ditch ) to the shores of Flour Bluff and so on. The Backyard is a place where we played as kids and now as adults. Only now I have a boat instead of a rusty old swing set. Laguna Vista is down near Port Isabel, that was a joke ha ha. I have a nice view of the Backyard however fishinglady has the best view. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |
