Howdy!
Thought I would update folks on my trip down to Yarborough Pass this past week. I was able to make it through with no problem in a Chevy Tahoe with a bit of a running start.
Fishing - spent three days there with a couple of friends. Used artificials. Caught dozens of undersized trout and reds. Only caught 2 keeper specks, one black drum and one flounder. Had large shark fin lurking about 50 yards away from me 300 yards out.
The wind was strong and the water was churned up. Coyote's were thick...don't leave any food/trash/bait anywhere. Also, not sure if there are other dogs down there but had large black, German Sheppard looking animals out in the water (yep, at least 200 yards out) and running fast along shoreline. Definitely not coyote's...kinda spooky....all at sunset.

Wow nice report. I have heard of sharks out there in the past but still for some reason surprises me each time. _________________ Like Corpusfishing.com on Facebook! |

| Yep...I thought it was a porpoise at first until I realized the fin was staying at the same level as it went past me. |

???? Huh? Large 'dogs' ... "out in the water"? You see an awful lot of weird stuff down the beach, but this is a first?!? |

| Maybe wolves? Or dog/coyote crossbreed? People do lose their pets on PINS, and I can see a large German Shepard joining a coyote pack. |

Yep...it was about 15 minutes after sundown. Saw large black blob moving slowly way out in water...was about 2 feet above waterline in at least 18" of water. Moved parallel to me then hit the shoreline and took off into dunes. Then saw three together the next night running at full speed along shoreline. If they were coyote's they were very large and very black (even if they were wet). I'm guessing some kind of ferrell dogs??
I didn't try to feed them but kept my 40 SW in hand while I slept... |

Maybe they were hogs? You sure they were dogs? |

| Not hogs...tall and lean with long tails. Looked like black German Sheppards. |
