I wore Tevas for years, and got keens about a year ago, and they are great, have not come off, great support, good on trail.

Got them at Fleet Feet, and they were actually cheaper than Academy.

I agree with the Keen brand. Bought my first couple of pairs at Marshall's on clearance. Flip flop style with the toe guard around the big toe. When we rescued our dog back in 2010 she made me aware of how pricey these shoes are. She chewed the left foot on 2 pairs. When I wanted to replace them I found out the price. Geez....She hasn't chewed another shoe since then. Those were some costly growing pains.lol....

I have gone to using Crocs for all my saltwater needs.

Everything else that I have had, including keens have come apart with extended saltwater use. Seems like anything with glue just comes apart over time.

This has just been my experience. Anybody got any suggestions?

Just can't do crocs. I don't care for the look. I am already lazy.lol...Those crocs remind me of a lazy person that doesn't want to put on a pair of shoes. I mean that when I see someone out to dinner with a pair on or at the dept stores. That won't ever be me. I did recently buy a pair of Mo Jo slip one. I have wore them 3 times in my boat with no complaints. Go with what works for you. As long as we are fishing it's all good.

I haven't actually worn mine on the jetty, but something I've found that are just plain fantastic on the jetty are the Sperry boat shoes. Excellent grip on the rocks, even wet and algae rocks... much better than tennis shoes even.
edit: After a quick search for an image all the Sperry Top-Siders I see don't have the same sole as mine do. Mine have almost a croc-like texture to the bottom but grip way better than crocs. I'll have to look at them when I get home, got'em on clearance at Academy.

The sandals I had (rugged shark) were awesome. Never slipped off my ferry even when wet. Just the damn strap pulled and I'm kinda weary about spending on another pair would like to find something better.
