Hey everyone!

As the topic says another new guy is in the bluff. I signed up on here a week or so ago just havent gotten around to introducing myself. I am originally from Georgia and didnt grow up around any salt water at all, I did all my fishing in fresh water mainly for largemouth and catfish. I joined the Army in 2010 and did a tour in Afghanistan, while over there my wifes family moved to CC. After I got back and finished up my contract with the military we moved down here to be close to her family and to be honest I didnt know what to think about it at first. I am use to having large tracts of land to play on and was kinda worried I was going to feel trapped. That was until I went wade fishing for the first time and wore the trout out catching 13 with 7 being keepers and the largest at 21''. Then the deal got sweeter when I got my kayak and caught a 26'' red and a 28'' red two keeper flounder and one keeper trout the very first time I took it out.

I look forward to hearing the reports and stories and plan on posting mine as well!
Good luck everyone!!

Not gonna lie those first few trips were AMAZING, probably a little bit of beginners luck. Every trip since then has produced dinks, undersized reds and a few trout to close to call. Thank you everyone for y'all's hospitality!!

Welcome.

Keep posting reports when you get them. I live vicariously through everyones fishing reports. Living in Central Texas, but being from the coast is tough.

I enjoy bass fishing, but it ain't quite the same as hooking into an oversized red on light tackle.

Well, I'm going to take that as a friendly reminder not to overthink things. Thanks!

Welcome to Corpus! You should go check out 4 Wheel Specialties. They're nice guys who should be able to point you in the muddiest direction. Had some work done on my truck there recently. I'm a happy customer.
