Does anyone have an idea what type of cat made these foot prints? I set the can there for size comparisons. There were two different size sets of foot prints, like a mom and small cat walking together. The prints went several hundred yards along Spring Creek north of Houston. Are they big enough to be a cougar?

Could be. I have seen mountain lions at our little property in Popalote, 45 minutes from Corpus and outside George West. They're around but they're very good at hiding from humans.

Too small for a mama cougar old enough to have a baby.

I would bet good money on a solid bobcat. They can be surprisingly big.

X2 Prof. Salt. I live in George West and I have seen some sort of big cat out here on my land. Bigger than a bobcat for sure, but I could not define the exact species since it was quite a ways away. I had to make a double take to make sure I wasn't seeing things lol Very Happy

I want to say a full grown momma bobcat but who knows. Where were you though? I have spent many a spring day chasing white bass in spring creek. Still live very close to it and am very familiar with the area.

At the park off a road off of Cypresswood Dr.. Not at the main entrance, but at the bow shooting target practice area section of the park down the road from Carters Country. I have seen people riding horses in this area. I was fishing for white bass myself that day. Smile
