Instead of working with the public and finding a reasonable solution, like tyrants they basically flipped off the public and said there take that, I put ugly poles right where you thought you could park. Like any tyrant making knee jerk decisions they made major mistakes that simple common sense (much less knowledge of federal rules) should have told them they are wrong. PLEASE support CAC and get these bums out of there.

that is a bummer indeed, as it does appear that some of the management staff are not interested in the publics needs or wants at all, and even going so far as spend their federal funds (basically OUR money from park fees) in a flagrant gesture of ill-will towards park users.

wonder if someone from Denver approved the bollards?

Just went to the Land Cut yesterday from Bird Island and noticed they removed most of the bollards except for that stretch from the parking lot to about the 25 mph sign in the post I made to start this thread.

I guess they got tired of weed eating around them instead of mowing Smile

Maybe the posts are victims of the Sequester.

Smile

I am not sure how long they've been gone as I have been going on the Baffin and other places via Bluff Landing so it could have been some time ago. When they first came up I knew it would be a nightmare and take a lot of manpower to weed eat around those things rather than just a straight mow of the shoulder.

What I wonder is whether with big daddy Joe E on his way out somebody revisited my letter advising they violated the federal traffic regs and pointed out the safety hazard. They installed them too close to the roadway. If you recall they put them in during the heat of the press coverage over the towing BS. I really got a kick out of going down there after my incident. I had all the right permits but never displayed them just to see if they had the nerve to mess with me...not a peep.

don't talk about HER beach, she'll make you leave!

after all... upwards of 1% of the turtles nest there, and even though they can't prove that any have ever returned, it's imperative that we sideline all human activities for one randeom turtle.
