Anyone remember that Barge from Louisiana that came down to park and take care of clients out in Baffin about 8 years ago? Smile

Yea, TP & W sent them home for not having a permit. Very Happy

so do we have to have a permit to fish north, or check with them/us/we to get some type of clearance pass so we won't catch a lot of those pecker woods fish?

I didn't hear anyone crying 3 years ago when the Rockport, Aransas Pass and Ingleside fishermen were coming down here and pounding the trout for a year when their water was bad.

ST

Amen brother on the Rockport, AP, Ingleside invasion. I will damn near take black colored water to keep them at home. This brown stuff is going to make it tougher but I got a feeling those who know what they are doing will maybe not do as well as the last few years but fish will be caught....you just have to get louder worms and drop them closer.

Ok so if I took it wrong I sincerely apologize, it's been a stressful day. I wasn't trying to say its my water or my fish, just a figure of speech. Aransas is my home so I consider this my home waters, kinda like the street I live on is my street, no I don't own it but still... You get the idea. So no I don't necisarily want the extra pressure here just like I wouldn't want spid traffic on my street but if it comes it will all be ok. Fishing may get tougher here and that's ok too,the fish will sirvive they always have. Now, make the short drive over and catch some of MY Very Happy fish, just make sure you send me a check first so I can get you the permits Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
Seriously, I'm sorry just go fishing somewhere!

My, my, don't we all get a bit cranky when the brown tide is all around and the surf is chocolate milk at the same time. Wink
When all gets cleared up and most people start catching again, sweet civility will be restored.

The other day I was at Indian Point pier and some guys were there soaking dead shrimp in my favorite troutin spot. I waited and watched and when they started to leave, I started gathering up my stuff to make my move. Two other guys who had just shown up beat me to my spot and I was pissed. Then I noticed they had young boys with them, and I felt kind of bad, so I showed them where I usually have luck for trout and how I usually fish for them, and I ended up meeting some really nice people. Don't get me wrong; I got not credientials for preaching. My first response to people coming to "my spot" is usually to get pissed. But these were nice, respetfull people and it made me happy to share with them. They were not blasting redfish in a tower boat, leaving a buch of trash on the pier, or keeping undersized fish. I have no tolerance for that kind of nonsense. And, I have only lived here a few years, so I respect the fact that some people have more time invested in fishing their water. But if people act right, I just can't fault them fo wanting to be where the fish are.

Count your blessings. We could be living in Oklahoma today. Get out there and grind fellow fishermen. I will be grinding in my backyard.

grind,grind,grind,grind..............
