Amen IMS he has forgotten more about fishing then I will ever learn. Even if I sat in his boat every time he went out I could never catch up. I bet master yoda (Mike) and the force are still with us.

He has his priorities in life lined up these days. Although this forum is awesome, wife, fishing without being judged, and puppies....and retirement rule!!!
With that said.....I think I really hate him.

I caught a glimpse of this young captain when I was in the "Upper Laguna" yesterday. I also saw Cliff Webb fishing. I stopped him in mid cast and we had a nice conversation. He showed me three pictures on his phone of huge trout that both him and his clients have caught in the last couple weeks. He was holding the one he caught that had the scale pegged at 11 lbs. and was only 31 inches long. I cannot describe the belly that this big girl had. He also showed me the two that his clients had caught. One was over 10 and he said the other went a little over 12 and was over 32" long. Now I know Cliff gets very excited when telling fish stories, but I have to say that 12 pounder looked as big as any speck I have ever seen. He showed me the hottest topwater he has right now and I am searching ebay this morning and will be buying a dozen if I can find them since they were discontinued after a year or two of production.  Here is my catch from yesterday. I had five keepers and gladly welcome the fresh trout basket I will be eating tonight. |

One last thing, I almost forgot the picture of his new guide. He won a 'Silver Ribbon" at last winters big fishing contest and is seen here displaying it proudly!  Of course this is just an imaginary guide that I just had a dream about! Have a great day!
