I have had Grande since it was Clearsource. Now ATT Uverse says their HD channels are better and their internet speed is unmatched with fiber optics. Any have experience with both?

Thanks

I have Grande now. Used to have Time Warner. The only thing I don't like about Grande is that the Outdoor Channel is not in HD. I've heard that ATT is terrible on service.

Ha!

This will be an interesting topic.

By the way, if AT&T makes any promises, you need to get it in writing and a test drive before you sign on the bottom line. They enforce their cancelation policies without concern for actual performance of their network.

I am not endorsing Grande in any way by my writings above.

We are liking grande since we switched. Service has been good and we have haven't had busy hour slow service like we did with TWC.

My understanding is they tried to build the fiber network as cheaply as possible. They used about half as many re-timers and defragmenters as needed. Both of which will lead to a poor user experience on the tv screen and interweb. Take that for what it worth as I haven't used the service here in CCTX.

Ditto, about AT&T promises made. Get it in writing. They can be good but you will earn it by having to stay on them. My wife plays the game while I tell her pay a little more and avoid all the hassle.

Have had uverse for 2 years now. Zero complaints. I ve had timewarner and direct TV in the past. Their customer service is really good in my experience and I've been in Customer service for over 15 years so I don't give that compliment out often. they have a fairly decent selection of HD channels . No 3d channels currently

Looked into Uverse. Decided not to when we found out that we needed to "rent" one of their boxes/units for every TV, ie you can't just plug into the wall cable and get most of the channels. Got expensive when we added/rented units for the office, sewing room, garage, patio, and guest bedroom

Every promise I got with at&t they've delivered on. I'm curious what's been promised that wasn't given. New customers you should get free boxes I'd imagine. When I switched to HD I did have to threaten to cancel to have them waive the charge for the boxes. They upgraded me at no charge.

Had AT&T for many years, and now have had Grande for over 1 year.

If AT&T offered to give me service for free, I would stick with Grande..... Shocked

Been a short time customer of AT&T UVERSE. Internet doesn't really seem any faster. When I signed on the salesman asked what I pay with Grande. They beat it by 2 bucks for 5 boxes. But what they didn't tell me is: the price quoted is the base price, so when you add all of the taxes and fees my bill went from $140 total (Grande) it went to $184 total (AT&T). Kinda ticked me off because I hate shady tactics. So far I will keep them because my wife and girls can record from any tv. Adios.

Skipper

Btw, read the contract all the way before signing.

Can't say about ATT, but had Grande before I moved to Katz land. They don't serve this area so I have Dish. Still got no complaints.

I have stuck with TW. Service has been good with a few exceptions. Main reason I stay is I don't like contracts.
