Had another great winter day here in S. TX going offshore in the kayaks. The trip started a little rough with one of the group flipping and then getting pined under the kayak for a little while. But the rest of the trip was uneventful except the great fishing. We caught 4 over sized Reds released 2 Grouper and many Snapper. Here are a few pics of the trip.

Outstanding trip Makomark. Question, why in the world did you throw back those two Gag Grouper? They are better eating than snaps and at least one was 2 or 3 inches over limit and you can keep two per day. _________________ Off Shore Port Mansfield |

Very nice!! Where do you find those kayaks? I've never seen those before and they look very very stable. I think I just found my perfect kayak that is multipurpose. _________________ Jacob McDonald

question - was it the Revolution that flipped or one of the pro-anglers? I've been thinking about getting a hobie mirage drive but I can't handle loading the Pro-angler myself, and I was wondering how stable the revolutions are in the breakers?
Thanks for the report by the way - you guys are brave going BTB in the chilly water, and you are definitely reaping the rewards of that bravery. _________________ ...if my boss ever finds this forum I'll be unemployed... |
