Last trip to PINS the wife picked these up. I'm curious to what they are? They are very light and rattle when you shake them. Sounds like a seed or something inside. Any ideas?????

Also found a very strange sand dollar. Got these long black things growing out from it...

The top pix look like water logged sea beans?

Never seen the sand dollers like that...pretty cool!

You'd have lost that bet as far as the Andira galeottiana goes, but the stuff on the sand dollars is the hold fast and the cores of the sea whip, a soft coral species.

I think you got it as well. I looked sea whip up on the web and found several things very close. Fasinating stuff to me! Thanks for the info!
