If we could pass a law that makes everybody turn in their guns, then send the national guard to search all homes, attics, walls, garages and yards to find and destroy any remaining guns, we'll all be totally safe. Only the Police and Government will have weapons. They'll protect us from the bad guys. We need to modify our media to eliminate the thought and even history of firearms. Once we've indoctrinated the next generation that guns never existed, and removed any sort of science & history from our schools that could lead to the ideas of creating a gun, we'll have re-defined a lawful & obedient generation that will be much, much easier to handle. Dangerous ideas like the bill of rights just need to be eliminated. Freedom of exchanging information is too hard to contend with and needs to be stopped. Police need to be able to search without being burdened with a warrant, so they can find guns faster. The military needs to be able to stay quartered in whatever neighborhood they're currently working in. When somebody is caught and taken to court, the whole process would be streamlined by ensuring the defendant can be forced to testify against themselves, in front of a judge. Juries are too expensive, for both criminal and civil cases. Police need to be able to make up laws as they go, to get the bad guy. The military would have a much easier time doing things if we did away with the quaint concept of a "state" too.
Now ask yourself, how much of this is slowly becoming reality? A frog won't jump out of the pot if you slowly crank up the heat. |

Hey maybe the government will declare a "War on Guns" if it works as well as the War on Drugs there will be nothing to worry about.
Talk about the broke government, see where the VP has a gun control gun study group of law enforcement officials to include Eric Holder. Now there is an expert on gun control. Mr. fast and Furious.

We'd be burying lots and lots of National Guardsmen if they tried that. |

Yes, sarcasm was intended but my last two sentences were serious. Liberties are being slowly eroded in a very controlled, planned and calculated fashion by corrupt fearmongers who use every disaster or major evil doing to further their agenda regardless of statistical relevance. Most of the public is now too stupid to understand this. |

Everyone keep your pants on.
There's a principle called "EX POST FACTO" that will stop these guys COLD from doing a gun 'grab'.
Second, if you think the NRA is dead, you're a fool...right NOW, they're jerking the chains of congress critters...and if those congress critters have taken NRA funds and 'jump ship', there will be hell to pay in the primaries.
Also...the courts have historically taken a VERY dim view on taxing a constitutional right.
Keep your pants on, keep cool, and don't act like the loons on the left.
FYI...I have a slightly used AR for sale for $10,000 if anyone's looking!

Can you just imagine the fallout from the government attempting to collect all semi auto and military looking guns...
Very messy indeed.
Never happen!
Worst case scenario is future sales ban (on the military style). And that is a tall tree. |
