| Big Sis is coming in from California. She loves mexican food. I know the best place to take her in Kingsville, but what's the "BEST" Mexican Food, here in Corpus Christi? |

I go to the valley for good Mexican food. Most vote for Kiko's. I have always enjoyed the threads on fine Mexican food. Jalisco's just doesn't hit the taste buds. However it's a port in a storm, and it's close by the house. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

If you like Menudo, Southside is also the best! Weekends only and you have to go early because it sells out quick.

I love Corpus... There are mexican food restaurants in the parking lots of other mexican restaurants.
Back to the post... I live in S.A and don't really have a good suggestion for Corpus. It's usually a Stripes taco at 5:30am and then Water Street when we get off the water. _________________ 1.2.3,4,5. once i caught a fish alive.

What about the best carne al pastor? So far the best "al Pastor" I've had has actually been at Cancun on alameda. But i'm open for new suggestions. _________________ ...if my boss ever finds this forum I'll be unemployed... |

My favorite Carne guisada taco comes out of Taqueria Almeida on Waldon across from the school. Gotta have it with cheese and a lemonade! _________________ I like fishies |

I like Senior Jaime. So far they are number 1 in my book. Kiko's is number 2. Michoacana on Everhart and Corona was a bust the last time we were there. Corn tortillas were overcooked and hard and it just wasn't seasoned right. Maybe they will get better with time but I won't be going back for a while. They do have a good bakery though. _________________ Where's the March Hare???.. |

For breakfast/lunch - The Hi-Ho off Morgan is outstanding.
Southside Barbacoa is outstanding as well for breakfast and lunch.
Kikos for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. _________________ CONSERVATION IS KEY |

Where is the best place in Kingsville? We get over that way fairly often and would like to try it. _________________ E Pluribus Unum |

X2 on what Tyler said. Believe it or not, Pepitos in Portland is one of the best. Verde enchiladas and carne guisada are great. Their flour tortillas sadly appear to not be homemade. _________________ Fortune favors the brave... |
