10-4 Latt22, but me thinks you would have a better chance getting bit by a floatong rattler than a gator.

i wouldnt be surprised. i fish seadrift and POC now that ive moved further up the coast, over this summer i pulled in on top of an 8-9 footer in a gut on the backside of matagorda island. closest freshwater or even brackish water is probably 20 miles away from that spot

There are freshwater ponds all over that island. There's a gator in Lighthouse Cove with one eye that everybody knows, and in August it was running with a much larger one out there by the sticks in the same area.
