Ate dinner this evening at my ol ladys favorite chinese buffet in the bluff, super crazy . And was rewarded with my fortune, you will be honored with a prestigous award. Conditions looked good, wind had down this evening so figured what the hell lets go feed the fish. We first settled on the oso pier but its closed???? then figured why not cole park, but got there to find no lights and a bunch of hooligans running amuck. So we went to one of my favorite spots( behind the hotel is all im going to say). Girlfriend was landing undersize trout and croker left and right, until i was honorably rewarded with good sized drum, im going to say around 34-36, didnt have time to measure he was weak and wanted a safe return.Nothing like the first fish to break in my new pole you just finished building. Wind picked up around 10pm and just about time she was ready to go i pulled in a 24 b drum which we kept for the table. All in all was great night of fishing with one of my favorite fishing buddys, with a great view of the downtown lights and tight lines cant go wrong with that.
