|
|
I have not seen this topic yet, so not certain this is the right place to ask and not certian if this is something folks do. So figure I will ask.
Do y'all ever pool together and share a charter for the day?
I'm considering a charter for this Sunday for my son and I, but the cost for just the two of us is pretty high. I don't know if anyone is even available. I assume we will simply be in the bay or ICW or wherever going after reds and trout.
thanks |

This would indeed be the place to ask, but I would also point out that the weather is supposed to be iffy on Sunday, wind-wise.
There are some great resources here in terms of fishing, advice, and weather. Keep your ear to the ground and you won't go wrong. |

thanks CS.
Yes, I saw that about the weather. I'm flexible on the day - could also be Saturday.
And you are right - I've learned a lot from the board in the short time I've been posting (and reading). Goes to show me how much I really don't know about fishing! |

I'd definitely be interested, but can't do it this weekend because we're still recovering from Sharkathon. x2 on the weather too, front looks to be rolling in up here on Saturday so not sure when it will arrive down there. _________________ JJ |

| x3 on the interest -- a buddy and I have talked about getting a very small group together to split the cost of a charter. post up when you do! October is not a good month for me but I'd definitely like to go soon! |

I'd be interested in offshore as well. Not interested in head boats, but would love to share a charter for a smaller boat with 6 or so other fishermen. In the bays, I have a boat but would really like to find a guide that would not just "fish spots" but be willing to teach me what he looks for in the particular bay system we're fishing so I can come back and look for my own spots. _________________ JJ |

| Just an FYI the wind switched around out of the north here in Abilene this afternoon and may be ahead of the forecast. It wasn't supposed to hit till tomorrow. |
