Hello,

I will be in Port Aransas and then Corpus on Friday, October 12th.

I checked fishbite prices up here and found them for $7.79 at Bass Pro.

What's the going price in PA or CC? And where is the best price?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

Joe

Thanks for the quick responses.

I will be hitting Port Aransas first. Is it possible the HEB in Aransas Pass has the fishbites?

Or, is there a location in either one with low prices?

I like the ones at HEB, because they are the strips you cut yourself versus the ones that are pre-cut. Just my preference, seems like I can get it to last longer like that. I don't remember seeing them sold like that at the other places, but I could be wrong. I haven't checked in a while.

H.E.B. sells them for $5.67 in Port Isabel and Aransas Pass. The H.E.B. in the Bluff has higher prices for the ones you cut yourself.

Thanks to all for your replies.

Fishlady, I will only be in Port Aransas for a few hours on the 12th, so, going by Aransas Pass HEB will be just fine.

I plan to spend a few hours at the pier next to the coast guard station. My parents used to fish there a lot. Nice to go where they loved to be when they were alive.

Then, I will head down to the valley and plan to be there from Sunday for a week. Might run in to you at the SPI north Jetty. If you happen to be on the surf, I have a white F350 4X4 with a camper and I could be anywhere between the last beach access road and the Mansfield Jetties. Stop and say hello.

I always stop for some fresh dead at Red Dot on the way to the beach, seen a good selection of Fish Bites in there for $6 and change.

synthetic bait that gives off a shrimp or crab scent and holds up after quite a few fish. You never fish on credit like you do with shrimp. Sometimes fishbites and shrimp together works best though at times I've done as well or better with fishbites alone.

I like the "fish on credit" analogy Tyler. Kind of like drinking beer; we are really just "borrowing" it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Laughing Laughing Laughing
