I received this information this morning I thought I mught share it with the corpusfishing group. I know some of you have cabins and or access
to cabins on the Laguna, Baffin and the Landcut.

State Rep.Oliveria from Brownsville Tx has a beef with the way that the GLO administers their leases, including cabin permits. Evidently he feels they aren't charging lessees enough money. He intends to push for legislation to charge more and do more regulating.
If anyone knows Rep. Oliveria, send him a message with your feelings. And send letters or emails to your Representatives. If they don't know they need to know what this guy is doing.

Thanks

ST

charge more, for exactly WHAT in return?

regulate WHAT? a friggen man made spoil island? it's not like this is some pristine ancient wilderness that the cabins are sitting on.

more liberal BS.... tax and tax with nothing in return...

Floaters are $300 a year permit from the Parks and wildlife dept. We, floaters are charged by the cabin not the sq/ft. Herons like to use the cabins as a rest/poop spot. Where are you in the twin palms area? Our floater is in that area also let me know when you are going to your cabin and we can meet up.

They are already changing our fees by adding all pier and deck space to our cabin square footage... Typical BS from the government..
