I was wondering if you guys know of a mechanic that can service Ficht motors.

I have a 2003 115 hp.

Just routine stuff - looking to build a relationship with a Ficht Mechanic.

Let me know.

Thanks

Hey guys thanks for the feedback.
That article in BoatUS is interesting - I have not read that before.

I have a 19' Shoalwater with a 2003 Evinrude 115 Ficht. My boat and motor are running fine (knock on wood) but the day will come when I need work on my motor and I am looking for someone that can service that engine.

I have had this boat for a year and I am enjoying it. I am a proactive guy and I am trying to establish a working relationship with a Ficht motor mechanic. I am in San Antonio and I have not found anyone here able (or willing) to service the Ficht.

I have made contact with Portland Marine and they tell me that they are able to work on the Ficht motor. I will stop by there shop in the next couple of weeks.

Does anyone else have any additional recommendations.

Thanks

Also Boss Marine might. Not a lot people know of him but so far everyone that I know that have used him are happy campers. His name is Owen, says he's been there 15 years. Buy a service manual. You'd be surprised by what you can do yourself.
