If that thing broke down near the Mansfield jetties, it would cost you big time to get it back to the pavement.

Hopefully it wouldn't break down - they are somewhat more durable than the average truck though. Would take a D-6 to tow it back.

There was a 1968 Mercedes Benz Unimog for sale at an auction recently...3' of ground clearance, SERIOUS 4X4...diesel engine.

I wanted to buy it so bad, and it sold for $11K...but I could not.

Looked like this one:

If that is the case, it might be a perfect PINS truck. Hey Billy - time to come out of retirement. Might be pretty hard to a get a 6x6 stuck. If to badly stuck it would make a pretty good sized fish attractor.

Some have these big balloon tires for the desert - that plus 6 wheel drive would be pretty hard to get stuck as long as the engine kept running.

Think of the fish spotting from so high up.

Still can't believe you would pass that up Bighead!!! But the best PINS truck you could have is the one you don't have to clean or pay for.

That just might be the ultimate vehicle for fishing PINS. I stand IMPRESSED. I do wish I had an extra 12K at this time and I would get it. What a vehicle for Sharkathon!!!
