has anyone fished it lately? im headed down this weekend and just curious if it has been holding fish? Im assuming piggies is the bait of choice still? We'll be throwing top water early for reds.

I haven't fished back there in weeks, but the last two years right around this time there have been schools of reds, mixed slots and oversized. I was on them from mid August until early October. Good luck.

thanks for the info. i was there about a month ago and did ok. Fishing a little bs tournament with a buddy so hopefully we can get back on some fish and the northeast wind should be interesting. actually it might be ok in nighthawk with that wind direction. just wade the shorelines.

I went this morning. I did not find any reds except a few small ones. i did find a few keeper trout. The water is clear with a ton of bait. I'm sure the reds are there somewhere.

Wind has been real light I was goons try there last Sunday but I couldn't drift coz of me wind jus sat there so I anchored up to a channel. Winds outa the north this morning so I guess you coulda drifted into nighthawk

I fished the central portion down to the south. There were others fishing up north, several boats, so who knows. Perhaps thats were the reds are.

Fishing in this weather is just great. I hope you get into them this weekend!
