Well me and my buddy Decided to fish the ALS tournament....great cause and great company!

Figured if the weather turned then no worries it for a charity so there is no lose...

Woke up to a messed up radar and thought "ehhh forget it lets just do this!"

Lightning on the horizon but no worries it was being pushed away...

Wind was chilly and called for a light jacket..

Due to the high north winds, we were actually fishing new water that i have never been to before but i had a good idea of what was in store...

Reds weren't on the flats like i hoped..the water was actually chilly...

We bounced around until we decided to just quit getting fancy with the game plan and stick to the original idea...

it payed off!

The big red of the day went 39.5" and was THICK! She broke through my net and i had to jump in the water and bear hug her...

the release went great and she was strong...

I lost another possibly bigger red that was zipping the reel and popped my line...i later caught the line with another rod and the hook was popped off as well...

I finished with a limit of good drum and some reds...

My buddy AJ lost a upper slot at the kayak, managed to pull in another red that went 28 2/8ths on the check it..ouch!

Pretty much exactly how Casting for a cause went down...im plagued with oversized on tournament days for some reason

It was a great day either way and its about that time of the year on baffin...

You need to update your biggest red on your fish count, lol.

Hahhaa i need to just delete it...i lost track of the drum and days fished...really horrible with keeping records....only records i care to record are when i find the trout since they are more finicky for me to catch

Wow! Yep, my luck was undersized reds on tournament day, went out today and caught a nice 26" red, a day late, just my luck. LOL.
We had a great turnout, thanks to everyone that showed up, and to the Yak Shack, and the Yak Shack Pro Team for helping get people out.
