| Does Horace Caldwell pier still exist? If so, I'm curious as to why there are never any reports from there posted here? |

Horace Caldwell pier is still there. Good question as to why there are no reports from there. _________________ E Pluribus Unum |

Pier does exist. Spent most of the day today there for a surf competition. Not many folks fishing off it. Mainly tourist, renting rods from the shack as best as I could tell. Never saw a fish come off the pier.
But the surf was good, and the daughter had a good time today. [surfing] |

Fish it fairly often, The biggest Spanish Mackerel i have ever caught came off of there
I prefer it to Bob Hall actually. Fewer impolite people. |

^^ Landlocked
It's the daughter that surfs, not me (or at least I have not been on a board for 30+ years!! ) But I can Boogie-board with the best though...
She wasn't in the Grom on Saturday, but had a friend who was. She was out there to support her and to catch a few waves. All in all, a good day.
Plus, we found out the the food is way better on Bob Hall. Pretty slim picking at the grub counter on Caldwell. |

Most people fish the jettys up there, better action. Pier just for looks and the tourists. _________________ -STAY THIRSTY MY FRIENDS!- |

HaHa, if Horace Caldewell pier is just for looks and the tourists, I guess the 11'+ lemon shark i hooked there a number of years back must have been a tourist. |
