Fishing for flounder is like a good BBQ, sllloooow and low. The honey hole paid off again this afternoon. Did a bunch of research last night on fishing for flatties, and it paid off. Key is to let them eat the bait good, dont jerk it like a red or trout. Landed 3 flatties, and 2 fat trout. Not a trout eater really, so let them go, and kept the 2 big flatties. 18-1/4", and 17"
I did read a photo that was posted on facebook about what time of day the bite is good, and weirdly enough, it was dead on. I got there when the bite "started", and 1st cast was a big trout, and when the calander said it turned "off", it was spot on! Might be a bit of truth in those fishing calanders!!

Awesome! Better by far than my latest flounder effort. Very Happy
