Nice catch!
Just returned from there myself. Had difficulty finding a pattern on the "Big River" and ended up having a blast catching brookies along the upper stretches of Chalk Creek. They were plentiful and hungry... and tasty!

did a guided trip on the Gunnison last Wednesday and caught a few fish, learned a TON being a near novice.

On Thursday pulled off the road on the way to Cinnamon Pass and caught a fat 16" brown on my own on an elkhair caddis, on the Lake City Fork Gunnison... crowning moment of the trip... well, besides the getting married part

Nice fish. Fished that area last summer. Had a great time. Stayed in NM this year and caught and released a slew of fish. 78 in all fishing streams, rivers and lakes with flies and/or lures with conventional tackle.
