| Load that puppy up with 30#the braid and a good mono top shot and have fun. Throw mullet at the jetties. I like live and try for reds on bottom or try floating one out under a balloon for kings and Spanish macs. Heck you might even jump a small tarpon. I think that reel should hold up to most things hooked from the rocks. Just be prepared to lose tackle. |

i have a good spot for live mullet here in corpus that i casnet, so thatll be good, what kind of rig do i drop on bottom, ive never really found how to rig a live bait so it swims instead of getting pulled down by the weight _________________ Give a man a fish, feed him for a day, Teach a man how to fish, feed him for a lifetime..... so teach me!!! |

0420, been up for 20 minutes...I'm a typical old guy...sleep is over rated First, I would wake up a whole lot earlier as 7 is LATE! Good luck and enjoy the sleep... |

Use a fish finder rig on bottom. Its similar to a carolina rig. Also you can use a lemon rig for fishing the upper water column. Also for jetties i will get a 3 way swivel and tie sections of mono so that WHEN you get snagged you lose minimal tackle.
Also get there early before sun up |

Corpus Fishing is a great place for teens like you and I! They usually provide you with whatever information you need! I live up here in Austin and reading these reports are about my only saving grace for my lack of coastal visits! Good luck out there man! Post some reports when you get the chance!!! |

Well I have a Penn 950 and a good ugly stick. I wanted to load it up with braid but I was told by a old timer(my dad) what if I get caught up in the rocks how will I break it off ???? Braid is a bitch to break off I would stick with good old mono and a good leader or wire leader _________________ Lord I can't change
