Fished from bird island basin to the Backyard with some awesome croakers. Nothing...1 dink trout . The bait was alive and perfect my baitwell works great. I showed up at Cos-way's at 0500 said hi to Cos he did a double take and said darn Stan I haven't seen you by bait in 10 years. Oh, well. I paid my dues today, the fish Gods had a good laugh at IMS'S expence. Back to artificials tomorrow, and maybe a better report. i SHOULD HAVE BEEN TROLLING FOR KINGS IN THE GULF. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

Well we put that therory to bed today. Thats what I have to say about it. I couldn't even catch a hardhead. The bad thing is a few of my buds think i'm lying and that I came home with a box full. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

| I tried live croaker for the first time on Thursday (a friend took me out and taught me how to free line them)...We got 17 good trout in about 4 hours of fishing.... but we went south of Baffin Bay and found some cleaner water. |

Sometimes when they don't bite, they just don't bite.

it was slow for me and we bought croaker on Thursday. Didn't catch until south of Bird Island. I think they cost too much and are not worth the hassle. on the other hand fresh peeled shrimp seemed to work under a cork in this dirty water near Night Hawk. _________________ Do not argue with an idiot. Certainly cannot blame the water in the Backyard yesterday. Looked better than it has in a long time. South east winds return today, so probably back to former conditions.
Better results next time regardless of bait of choice IMS. _________________

The water was brown from the Backyard all the way to and passed the Bird Island channel and over to the kr shoreline. However it is getting better. Started out with a west wind and it clocked around to the NE. They jsut were not fired up. The bite was offshore somehow I missed the invite message. Darn cell phone. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

My drive down Laguna Shores was early afternoon. One-ish. _________________
