Should be getting more opportunities to get back to fishing - what's the best flavor of fishbites now for whiting ? Dont mind other fish but wife loves whiting.

I like the shrimp though the crab seems to work as well. Probably in my head. I like the orange, pink and chartreuse.

Was down there two weeks ago, and with all the seaweed, we could only get whiting to bite. Although they did both work, pink shrimp flavor consistently caught more than orange crab flavor.

I used to be a regular here - many northers ago. My youngest baby just graduated from high school and her and her sister will be off to college shortly. Fish - you are in deep trouble.

wheres AcousticTennis, the unofficial fishbites spokesperson? I haven't seen a report of his in a while. I'm pretty sure he's doing something special with his fishbites - like he dips his in catnip or that new brand of LCD thats making people REALLY hungry lately Wink

I've had great success with Pink Fishbites. The kiddo used pink Fishbites at the kids fish Poco Rojo last year and came in first place. It would definetly be nice for new flavored scents. I remember going to the cabin as a kid and using fried chicken for bait. Paw Paw always got a big box of chicken to eat that night and I'll tell you, I've caught stingrays, drum, trout redfish and gar on it. Shoot maybe we need some fried chicken flavored Fishbites.

I have 2 or 3 packs of the gulp strips...they only caught my usual, skunk. Got em at ffo for like a buck fifty. Fishbites on the other hand are great. I've caught everything on them; reds, trout, whiting, pomps, jacks, stingrays, sea robins, hardheads, gafftop, sharks...didn't mean to sound like Bubba Gump there. My go to are the pink shrimp flavor and the white crab.
