Mine would be an 18" trout that I 'blindcasted' in the Mansfield channel in 1996. I've got numerous rat reds and dink trout under the lights but thats my personel best.
Landed lots of white, black bass, perch and bluegill but after 14 years of flyfishing I'm still a novice.

I will have to brag for a friend of mine as I still haven't learned to fly fish. I have been with him several times last year when he caught upper slot limits of reds all on his fly rod. I know of at least four 28" reds from last year on his fly rod. _________________ still chasing my 30" trout |

| I don't know about the largest, but the most memorable was a 31" red with big shoulders I caught last summer out of a tailing pod using a popper. One twitch and she came bolting to the surface, crushing the fly with a thermonuclear strike - really violent and totally cool. The entire pod followed her in for the release. This popper, by the way, is far and away the best I've ever used and now is the only one I carry. It was designed by Capt. Scott Sparrow of LLM fame and is called the VIP popper. It has a foam body and lands like a feather. You can buy them from his website or, better yet, download the tying instructions there as well (http://www.lagunamadre.net/flies.htm) - very easy to tie. |

Caught the jack last year with Scott Graham. The red was last week with Randy Charba.

| well can't find my pictures, but have caught numerous redfish to 30" stalking the flats, and a fair amount of black drum doing the same......most memorable fish is probably a 24" trout last summer in ankle deep water....[/url] |

Have never tried fly fishing in the salt water, but as a kid I used to catch carp on fly rods left and right at the lake. Biggest went well over 40 lbs! _________________ GOBZA!!!
